OUR TRIP HOME
-
Pioneer Park at Port Aransas, TX. They had wireless internet,
just set up for wireless networking and pay the fee ($2.50 for one
day).
-
Corpus Christie Naval Air Station. We joined in at the
pot luck for the departing campground hosts.
-
Dellanera RV Park, Galveston, TX. A nice city park on
the water.
-
Grand Casino RV Park, Kinder, LA. Full hook-ups for $15
a night and Woodalls has a coupon, stay two nights, get two free. A
shuttle takes you to the casino.
-
Sans Beach RV Park, Gulfport, MS. We stay here every time
we visit Gulfport. Across the street from the Gulf and on the road
to the casinos with a shuttle to the the casinos. Ordered a Brake Buddy
from Reliable RV where we purchased the RV in 1997. Fred, the service
man, is great.
-
Lowes parking lot, 100 miles from Gulfport. We started
out and wind and rain started so we stopped to eat at a Chili's and parked
in a Lowes parking lot. The manager let us stay the night as I had
enough driving. Our first night in a parking lot.
-
Grand Casino in Tunica, MS. Should have gone to Sam's
Town, $7.77 per night with phones. Good buffet at Bally's Casino, half
price for senios and if you signed up for a free card, you got a free
buffet.
-
Quality Times RV park, Mount Vernon, IL. Easy in and out,
good cable. We stop here often.
-
Great Lakes Naval Training Center, IL. Only had electricity,
had to dump in a manhole. Price was right and very secure. Visited
Pam's girl friend Jane and our son, Scott and his wife
Keiler.
-
State Fair Park, West Allis, WI. Only park in Milwaukee.
Very convenient. Shopped, visited our son Kenny and his wife
Julie, had Easter dinner at our daughter Wendy's
house.
-
Home at last.
While walking along the shore of Lake Michigan at Northwestern
University, one of the students came by on a Segway Human Transporter. Pam
would like one to go up our hill to get the mail.
