COOK'S DELAYED ON WAY TO FUNNSUN
To all our friends and computer club members at Fun N Sun, we were looking forward to returning to Fun N Sun in December as usual, when we hit a serious snag. Sharon's mother Ruth suddenly had trouble using her legs.....
So at this time we have to say we will make it to Texas if possible but it's not looking too good right now. We are still reserving our lot for this year and we haven't given up hope yet. Everyone say a prayer for Ruth's recovery, and if she can get in and out of the motorhome, who knows maybe she'll accompany us to Fun N Sun.

SPRINT UNLIMITED INCLUDES CANADA
We have our Sprint Complete Sense connected and are making long distance calls any time. We also are learning about caller ID, Find Me, Notify Me, Voice Mail, etc. Not only does it work for the 48 states, but calling long distance to Canada is also free. $50 for local service (got rid of SBC) and long distance free 24 hours, seven days a week.

LOCAL NUMBER PORTABILITY (LNP)
Many people are reluctant to give up their home phone and switch to a cell phone because all their friends know their phone number. Also people stay with the same cell phone company because they don't want to change phone numbers. The FCC has ruled that starting November 24 people in the largest 100 metropolitan areas (MSA's) will be able to switch from land line to cell and back, or cell service to cell service, keeping the same number. All areas are due to be covered in march. This is causing cell phone providers to make some very good plans available to encourage their customers not to switch. A list of the areas is at:

BEGINNER COMPUTER CLASS
I will teach a Windows class for beginners on Tuesdays and Fridays, 1 to 3 PM. Windows 98 will be Nov 21, 25, and 28. Windows XP will be Dec 2, 5, and 9. Sign up at the club meeting Monday or E-mail me. I need to know which class and if you have a laptop or desk top.
