| PAM IS HOME
Pam came home from the hospital Wednesday and is trying to get back to a normal routine. She is feeling good but has not regained her stamina yet. Every day is a little better. ************************************** TASTE OF MATAMOROS TODAY I had wanted to go to the Taste of Matamoros ever since we attended it in 2003, but Pam didn't want to go. This year I decided to go anyway and have been asking others to go along (no fun alone). So far there are about 15 people. We will meet in the FunNSun parking lot before 3:30 PM, drive to the Brownsville University, park, and walk across the bridge to Matamoros. There will be free busses there to take us to Olympic Park, where there will be free food, drinks, music, dancers, and other entertainment for $8 at the door. If you would like to go, meet in the parking lot, or call me with any questions 361-0003. Bring a jacket for if it gets cool. We are going early to beat the crowds. I encourage all to attend. ************************************** WIRELESS HIGH SPEED AT FUNNSUN I don't expect any RioplexWireless modems before the first of next month. The antennas for TengoInternet are laying next to the buildings they will go on around the park. There is also a 4x4x4 hole in the middle of Freedom Park filled with cement and the base section for a tower, along with four eight foot tower sections. It looks like if they maintain their pace, it will be working by the end of the month as the manager stated. Much faster than the people building the freeway, were ‘monyona' is the rule. ************************************** TASTE OF LA FRONTERA WAS FUN Twenty-eight of us attended the Taste of La Frontera Monday. We served free beer, wine and soda, and did crowd control. Everyone had a good time and we are looking forward to having a big turnout from FunNSun next year.
