FIRST NEWSNOTES SINCE OCTOBER 30

BIGGEST SNOW IN 100 YEARS

Today we woke to find a Christmas scene around our motor home. Real snow on the grass, on the palm trees, on the sheets over our tomato plants. Pam said it was 26 degrees at 7 AM. Even our golden fronted woodpecker looks surprised as he sits on the suet feeder pecking on the frozen suet. Everyone I see outside has one thing in common, a camera.

Our water hose didn't freeze but I think my tomato plants and zucchini plants won't be so lucky. I put out an electric heater this morning but may be a day late and a dollar short.

WHEN YOU CHANGE E-MAIL ADDRESSES

Please let me know if you change E-mail addresses and include your old address so I can remove it from the mailing list.

Also, try to give a referral to someone using the service you are signing up with as a Random Act of Kindness. Most will give a free month service. Check your E-mail addresses or ask someone if they have an e-mail address from the service you are joining.

USING GOOGLE OR OTHER SEARCH ENGINES

I find many uses for doing searches. When I wanted to put ‘Random Act of Kindness' above, I could not remember the ‘Random' part, so I put ‘acts of kindness' in Google and it came up with ‘Random acts of kindness' entries to answer my question.

When people ask where to buy printer ink, I put in ‘buy Printer Ink' and get plenty of places. If it is for a specific cartridge, I add the cartridge number. Try it, you may like it.

USING BLIND COPIES

Using blind copies in e-mail avoids overexposure of peoples e-mail addresses, reducing their chance of receiving spam or viruses. I am always impressed when I receive an e-mail and the sender has cared enough to use blind addresses.
