Bonnie said she is selling the 2005 park models for $21,900. They were $33,900 back in March. She has 7, 1 on Poinsettia, 2 on Ginger, 2 on Periwinkle, and 2 others. Her number is 1-956-399-1445. Be sure to mention my name.

EAGLE PICTURES ON WATER

I took a burst of an eagle that landed on the water, had not seen one in the water before. The burst mode provides an excellent opportunity to get that shot that might be missed taking one shot at a time, and with larger storage cards, there is plenty of room for multiple shots. Newer cameras are also increasing the number of shots per burst.

LOONS ON THIRD SET OF EGGS

The loons at our lake laid their eggs and the water washed them out of the nest. They then laid two more which, after a commotion in the middle of the night, were gone. Now the loon is on the nest again, so we still have a chance of having loon babies this year. We do have baby ducks that come for corn.

DIGITAL CAMERAS CONTINUE TO IMPROVE

Looking at the cameras currently being introduced, more brands are coming out with 10 or 12 times optical zoom and image stabilization. They are also increasing the number of megapixels and making them smaller. The storage cards are also increasing in size and decreasing in price. Aldi's has a 1 GB SD card for $29.99. Do I need another new camera?

BEARS ARE PLENTIFUL

We had a bear visit a few times and I stopped leaving the suet out at night, so he stopped. Then we heard someone on the other side of the lake had the wardens trap the bear as he was a pest. A few nights later, a bear was back at the suet. I hope he does not decide to climb the tree to get to the feeders on my wire.
